Pearl was born at 5:50pm on Saturday, November 3rd, 2007.  She weighs 9 pounds, 1 ounce and is 21 inches long.  She arrived after a short labor due to an incredible job by her mother.  She was born at BirthCare, a birth center in Alexandria, Virginia.  We arrived at BirthCare at around 4pm and were back home a little after 9pm.

At Pearl’s first checkup when she was 1.5 days old the doctor was concerned about her breathing.  We ended up in the hospital for 10 nights but we’re now home and Pearl should be just fine.  They think her lungs got a little irritated at birth and will take a couple of weeks to heal.
